Miri Hospital began operations on May 6, 1995, officially opened by the Chief Minister of Sarawak Tan Sri Pehin Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Hj. Abdul Taib Bin Mahmud on 30 August 1996, the Miri Hospital has 349 beds and provides a number of specialized services such as Medical, Surgical, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, and Pediatric. The main areas of service of Miri Hospital are Inpatient, Outpatient, Pre-Hospital Care.
